Get to know your representative. Start out finding out as much information about your representative first. Find out the personal information and how each candidate stands on the issues related to congress. Use a word document to other form of media to collect and organize your information. Information that should be included.
Personal: Birth date, Parental History, High School Attendance, College and Degree(s), Job History, Election History, chairs or committees held.
Representative information: District, Pro-Choice or Pro-Life, stance on gay rights, stance on school prayer, stance on the second amendment, stance on cloning, stance on capital punishment, stance on the Patriot Act, stance on Health Care, stance on the economy.
Finally, create a one sentence statement which would sum up your representative. (Be as detailed as possible.)
